Falken's 1969 Terminator project!

FalkenXC

Resident Late Model Gearhead
Being raised in Tarafied1's house gave me lot of exposure to the car world, and a lot of similarities were drawn. My father loves the Mustangs that were brand new when he was too young to know the difference, the late sixties earlier seventies, and I am infatuated with the Mustangs of when I was too young, the new edges. However, my heart lies with the 1969 Boss 302, so I decided I want to combine them. I am building a 1969 Sportsroof with the heart of a Terminator Cobra, a 4.6 mod motor with a KB 2.3, tko five speed, full cage and bucket seats, rear delete, all of that.

But that's the dream part. Right now, I've got two rust buckets.

Well , I can see that you have ALOT of parts laying around.:p:p:p

Welcome grasshopper !!;);)

That's right. Got your text a few minutes ago. My phone doesn't like to text in the house so I emailed you back.

Welcome to the nut house.

With Craig's addiction you should ends up with plenty of projects to get parts from.

he has a pretty ambitious plan for this car. I will be donating time and parts but some things he wants to do will be beyond my scope of expertise. We have a MII front suspension and a Mod motor that he wants to put in. The computer stuff is out of my league! I think I can help him get it put together but getting to run will be a new experience for me (and him).
Thanks for welcoming him, we will be needing some guidance and advice as we go!

Fortunately, I think I will be able to grasp the whole computer thing. According to what I read, hooking up a tuner to the ECU will allow me to shut down some codes that would otherwise prevent the motor from running (things like the gas cap being open, since I can't monitor that like the original car the motor came from).

Slowly, but surely your cutting your initial investment in the 69. Glad to see you guys recouping some cash on it and still having a very buildable 69 FB.

yes, I sold the roof on ebay. Lucas is really anxious to go get the other one out of my dad's barn so we can get started on it. Maybe Turkey day week we will go get it and bring it home. I need to get some rotors for the front so we can winch it on the trailer. We just drug it off the trailer. No way to drag it back on without wheels!

not yet but that is the plan, use 'em long enough to get the 69 in the garage and then put them on the FrankenStang
