Rapid Rabbit's 70 Stang

it ended in Iowa. Generally they start where they ended. I hope it goes North East from there. The South in June is miserable!

Maybe.

Need to find a copilot though. No way I'm bringing my wife and daughter. They'd want the top up the entire time.

My plan was to just drive it. I'm not l looking for a show car at all. The issue is that big dent and chip it got whilel at one of the shops. It's on the driver door and makes me crazy.

So if I have the driver side repainted it would be covered by insurance. Then it's not going to match worth a crap to my 20 year old flat wavy orange peel paint job. So it seems to make more sense to paint the whole car.

The estimate paint the whole car. Fix the rust on the doors, block and straighten the wavy quarters was $3700. insurance should cover about $1200 of that. So likely I'd be putting out about $2500.

If its a reputable body shop that does quality work (within a reasonable time frame), a complete for $2500 is a steal!

It's a very respectable shop. Family owned for over 50 years. The owner is a mustang fanatic. He has 2 classic mustangs and really has a passion for them. He's not a restoration shop especially. But has done a lot of full restorations. Mostly mustangs.

They just did my rear frame rails. The paint he did on my rear valance Turned out great.

Here's his 69 fastback.
