My new old truck

I'll fix it. No stranger to rust. Remember I'm restoring a mustang lol.

Are you sure the sealant at the bottom of the drip rail is intact? On a lot of old cars the sealant dries out, shrinks, gets brittle and cracks. Clean the drip rail real good for inspection. This stuff works good for temporary fixes, cleans off easily when you're ready for a permanent repair.

okay, I just did another inspection. I guess there is sealant in there it is just painted over. I suppose I will need to scrape it out and re do it. here is a pic of the holes inside the cab

I thought there would be... I had to re-do it on my '65 El Camino. Used a propane torch to soften the seam sealer then pick it out with various pics and small screw drivers. You can put traditional seam sealer back, but most recommend using a two part self leveling sealer in the gutters.

I'm not looking forward to this repair. Dreading the bedside worse though.

Been switching the 67 over to 5 lug disc in all corners. 781bc0cab2ab0f150b0696c747c74412.jpg272d2eb682017dbbca10d0366f8c70da.jpg

Bought some late model camaro heritage wheels for it. 18 inch steel wheels. Man they are heavy. Found out it's an open 3.73 diff.

4 wheel disc brakes and installed 2 inch lowering blocks out back. Need to hook up the brake hoses tomorrow.

Broke the drain petcock off the radiator... it was seeping anyway. Buddy suppose to have a 4 core for 25 bux. Gonna pick it up tomorrow. Gotta change the pan gasket on the trans as it leaking like a seeve tomorrow also. Then she's ready to roll.

Yeah. About a coil in a half. Plan to buy new springs and shocks for all 4 corners one day.

so 1 and half coil cut up front and 2" blocks in rear? That looks pretty good. I took my 72 to a show/cruise-in and overheard some guys asking each other if mine was 4 wheel drive. LOL. All the other C10's were slammed so it does look lifted next to one of those but it's all stock

Yeah but those low profile tires makes it look a lot lower so...

I bought cpp lowering blocks off eBay for it. They are a booger to get the old stuff off but your a little more intuitive than I am lol.
