"Phoenix" 65 Coupe to FB

Ok i have a questions...What the hell is the diff between gm bearing grease and ford bearing grease? From the valvoline package only thing i can tell is the color...

Installed my coilovers suspension.Still need my tie rods, need abigger sway bar as well

Theb i installed my 12.5" 05 gt disc conversion on the drivers side...

Naturally the only 5 lug wheels i have with tires are some 20s. So i put that on and even though they are off my 2014 mustang the offset was fine because the 20s go over the top ball joint lol

those giant wheels make your big brakes look small!
Not sure of the GM vs. Ford grease but make sure not to use metric grease on a classic car. Also make sure you don't mix up the left hand grease with the right hand grease, who knows what would happen!

Speaking of metric and imperial grease! That is why we couldn't get my pilot bearing out the other day, the imperial grease wasn't matching the metric volume behind the bearing. Good thing that donut was metric!

Those coil overs are amazing. This is exactly what I want to do to my 69, keep it up! And keep posting pics!

Thanks!!!
I do need to add a few things..I cut the drivers side floor out, added a torque box, and got the new pan fitted17553630_10158425749630521_2177894147580241368_n.jpg 17757273_10158425749835521_4915637238176820054_n.jpg 17634418_10158425749715521_3453372307223776222_n.jpg

Also Lucas wasn't kidding about the donut. I was helping him try to get the pilot bearing out of the crank and was using wheel bearing grease. It just wasn't working since the grease was finding ways to escape. So he came up with the idea to stuff bread in there. We didn't have any so he used a donut. First time I've ever seen a donut used in building an engine!

Oh man, those wheels! Haha that's great that they totally clear the UCAs.

That reminds me, I also need to fix my floor and add a torque box. Keep it up!

The EPAS was pretty easy...I did it for this build but its ready to go...Now if i had a motor it might be more useful

Well this last week has been crazy. I sold my 67 Coupe to fund my 65 Build. I Finished the front torque boxes, floors, door jambs from the fb conversion, cutout the pass side cowl from underneath, and order a MTF body kit.

Im also waiting on memorial day sales...Trying to decide on what parts to order...Probably going to order a brake booster, new stainless lines, new fuel lines, and maybe a few other things

sad to see the 67 go but this one will be sweet! looking good

Yeah, im still pretty sad about the 67...Not being able to cruise around in it is a hard pill to swallow....Now i can only cruise in the 78 GMC i got at the house for awhile since my mom doesnt need it after fixing her 98 ram....Its not nearly as fun to drive

square body GM trucks are pretty cool though, but yeah, not as much as Classic Mustangs! But you can haul Mustang parts in it!

Yeah, this is actually the truck i fixed up as my first "Project". Gave it to my mom after because she needed a truck...Needless to say she didnt take good care of it and the brakes are shot....lol

well you need something to work n while waiting on Mustang parts anyway right?!?

LOL! I have plenty of parts on route

Been trying to decide on the rear suspension and after much consideration i decided to stick with leaf springs and upgraded shocks. So ive ordered 4.5 Mid eye leafs and blisstein shocks from SOT so my who suspension matches.. Just cant justify a 4 link for my build.

Im also debating on what to do about wiring...I really want to go American Autowire but i probably can salvage the wiring in it...but id like upgraded fuses and well new wiring so i dont have to chase deamons
