That is good to hear. I have their generic kit on mine I think. You'll have to post a picture of the fancy brackets so I can see, maybe that why mine rides so rough. too.
Here are some pics of the different Caltrac brackets. The net change moves the front link holes forward which keeps the links parallel to the spring allowing it to function as it should without making contact and suppressing movement.

I am REALLY glad you didn't try and shorten the 18 1/2" rods . . . this was a MUCH easier fix. I didn't know there were two sets of plates either.

Did they give you a part number or anything for those? Or just call and ask for them?

I called and talked to them. They swapped 'em for free. I paid expedited shipping to get them fast was the only cost.

Easier? Hell no. I had to drop the whole rear suspension and one side of the exhaust to swap the brackets. Plus I got smacked upside the nose with a leaf spring. Ouch. But at least it's done and correct now.

Well I can confirm that Terry's car does exist. On the way home from the power tour I decided to drop in and check it out. Very nice! The attention to detail is impressive even if it never gets done.

Thanks, Pat. Nice to meet you in person too.

Next year Tour sure but the car needs to hit the road soon. New engine and trans go in this weekend. Plan is to get the engine completed tonight (just have install rockers and adjust valves) WILL get the other bugs worked out and on the road shortly thereafter.

Car? I don't see any stinking car. I see a bunch of parts that some guy thinks will be a car someday!

Thanks for the confirmation Pat, until this point we only had {.} to verify Terry's car actually existed.

and there lies the problem, I don't like to fly! If we were closer I would be more than happy to help you work on that car!

Terry's a lot more scary looking in person, huh Pat?

my wife's family lives by you. One of these days when I am up that way I may also try to pop in. Maybe go for a ride?
