As some of you know, and some don't, I am in the midst of getting thru a divorce. We're very close to closing on a settlement.

Meanwhile, I have been looking for a home in South Dakota, near where my parents grew up, in Centerville.

I think I found it, this place:

It is a mile west of my Aunt's farmhouse and looks perfect for me.

My cousin knows the owner n grew up with her. I am going to call the owner today n see if she can wait until Nov and sell it to me.

I am excited about this opportunity n hope it pans out

Good luck, buddy! House warming in spring at Steve's!

I refuse to go to that part of the country in winter. Been there for one, that was enough!!!

That is a nice looking house and barn.

Sorry to hear about the divorce situation, I'm in the same boat so I know how it feels.

After conversing with the owner (my cousin and her brothers grew up with her) and her real Estate agent, I am looking real hard to make this work. Being only a mile west of my Aunt and Second Cousin's farm houses is very charming.

I am looking at financial options to purchase this place prior to my retirement on Oct 1 so it does nt slip away.

There will be a party when I punch out and you're all invited......

only three things are keeping me from buying that property, ok four

1: money

2: i dont want to move to south dakota

3: i dont like winter weather much any more

4: you want the property.

I`d be concerned about the winter heating bill, looks like the proverbial bald headed prairie with no wind breaks. Nice sized garage and shop mind you.
