Back on the road after a week in the Chicago area for mother-in-law B-day (97).

So I headed for the mecca of all travelers....Ames, Iowa.....and that guy named Mark.

Met Mark and Debbie (sp?) at their home and we all went out for some great BBQ (just in time to beat the crowd). A special thanks for the dinner since they picked up the tab.

Mark and I headed over to his shop to check out the PT Cruiser beater...:rolleyes:

Ha d a nice visit then off to find a motel and look for our next road.





 
Watch out for Mark , Mike ,as he seems very interested in the vettes engine !!
And you know Mark and engines !!!!!
 
I can't believe he let me touch the car! It's sure to blowup at some point now.

Actually, he took me for a ride in that Vette. Holy crap that thing is fast!
 
I drove a new paddle-shift supercharged camaro a few weeks ago...not sure how it compares to the 'vettes, but wow that power comes on quick.
