I can probably relate to the friends or lack there-of. I travel so much that I don't do a lot of socializing when I'm home and the few "friends" i have that are local either aren't into cars or have just as busy lives. I count on my boys for help but they are full time college students with girlfriends and 20-30 hours a week part-time jobs. So it's hard to get them home when I am home. We have fun when we can work together but it means a lot has to be done alone... anyway, good job! Looks good red.

Ok I will say it since Mark hasn’t. Maybe if you were nicer to people, you could have some friends to help! At least that is what my wife tells me.
I've offered to help, but after seeing my car I'm sure he doesn't want me touching his car.

Like Craig, my local friends are not car guys in the least. They probably wouldn't know a line wrench from a 3/8" extension. They would be more in the way than any assistance they could lend. Plus, I can be a bit of an ass when working on my car. I know how I want it done, without exception and, frankly, would trust very few to touch it. Besides, I've pulled and placed so many engines in these cars it's pretty much done by muscle memory!

I’m the same way Terry. I have friends that actually are car guys, but rarely ever ask or want help on my car. I like to do things the way I want too. If it doesn’t work I try something different. I do however enjoy when my son has time to help. He did help me install and break in the engine.

I just don't have any friends. I don't have time for friends.

I do everything on my car alone. After a while you lean to figure out creative ways to do things alone.
