Horseplay: 1965 Fastback Restomod

I just don't have any friends. I don't have time for friends.

I do everything on my car alone. After a while you lean to figure out creative ways to do things alone.
You have us

I remember building a 67 tbird demolition derby car in 1997. My pit crew was a cosmetic dentist, a pharmacist n an engineer I had worked with. Painted the car with flat White House paint using a Wagner power painter. My brother in law then laid down flames on the hood. At one point there must have been 20 people there. It was awesome to see the support. The best part was moving the car as I had already pulled the exhaust. A 390 with open exhaust is just honey.

One of my favorite BOC songs:

I saw BOC play at the Rose Bowl in 1982 n Robbie Kreiger from the Doors came out and played LA Woman. It was awesome

I think what we just witnessed was a blind alley, not a detour.

I hear rod knock.
I'm sure it will come. Actually, in the garage its hard to get decent audio of the real sound in such a confined space.

Still have much to do to get the EFI system settled in. Its not a big fan of the cam and won't hold a smooth idle below about 850 rpm. I actually cranked it up a couple weeks or so ago but have been traveling and haven't had much time to play with it. The FiTech system allows quite a bit of programming capability through the handheld it comes with but I think I need to get it connected to my laptop so I can download all the data and such to get a clearer view of whats going on and the changes I need to make. It comes with next to no information other than how to hook up. There is quite a bit out on the Web I have found so far to help. I may call their tech line to see what kind of support they offer that way. If I could get it out on the road and drive it, the system is self learning as well but my plates won't allow that now until spring. :(

Fitech is nice, I've had it on the coupe for a few years now. It won't be able to learn until you drive it unfortunately. I don't think there's anything you can do to bypass that. There is a decent group on facebook called "fitech owners group". They are usually pretty helpful.

I figured as much. Just want to try and get it to idle a bit better at lower rpm for now but not a huge deal. I don't know if it ever will given the durations and overlap of this cam. I've got it set to the "wildest" cam value now and it has gotten a bit better. Not sure what that really does in the program though.
