So I bought a new travel trailer.
Its all fancy and such BUT...
The new style LED lighting had 4 fixtures that did not work. The Airstream forums are all abuzz about this and taking the trailer back under warranty to fix this.
Well mine is used and old enough not to be under warranty any longer. These fixtures go for $55 each. No more just replacing a bulb. I took it apart and it is actually a little light board that fails.
So I wrote (e-mailed) the manufacturer (noted on the fixture). I stated that this seemed to be bad quality fixtures on such a high end trailer. They responded that there was a bad batch of soldering/welding on these and they would be happy to replace them.
Got them in the mail a couple days ago. That's $200+ saved.....while the AS forum bitches and moans...I did something. And got it free.
There are still companies who stand behind their product....ya just have to bitch a little.
