Did your iPhone call itself this morning?

This is not a joke. Just wanting to know if it happened to anyone else. I have 2 iPhones, work and personal. My work iPhone was sitting on the counter next to my laptop while I was surfing. I started ringing and the caller ID said me. I answered and there was no one there. Unplugged my personal from charging to see if it somehow butt dialed me. Nope. But within 5 minutes it did the same thing, my personal iPhone called itself. Again no one there. Happened to the wife also, she did not answer and got a missed call. In these days of identity theft and the CIA watching us makes me wonder...

i dont have an iphone, dont trust them, never will. but my andriod phones know better than to automatically dial me up. they know i will shoot them.

That has happened with my landline. Caller ID shows me calling my number. Scammers can use fake caller ID information to trick you into thinking they are someone else.

Wait until a few months before you reach 65 years old. Everyone and their aunt will be calling you about signing up for Medicare. That, and your credit card needs upgrading. All robo-calls from local phone numbers.
I wish these scammers would get off my damn lawn!

Your number probably has been lifted to call others using your ID. Not sure there is an answer except to call your provider and have them look into it. And you are right. The CIA has nothing better to do than call YOU.:rolleyes::rolleyes::D:D:D:D:D

I had two different people call me the other day saying they were returning my call. I figured the caller ID swap is what happened so I called AT&T just to see and there's nothing they can do about it.

My father in law was over the other night, my son was watching the movie The Mummy. My FIL says "You know, the egyptians weren't the only ones with mummies" and proceeds to tell me about it. The next day at work I go on the net to see how the stock market is doing, on the right side of the screen are links to stories, and one of them is "Egyptians weren't the only ones with mummies" WTF???? Big Brother is watching...and listening.

No...that's just Amazon. And you GIVE all your info to them anyway.

Install an ad-blocker on your computers (I use Ghostery) and phones (Norton Ad Blocker) and install the Hiya app on your smartphones. I never have any of this weird shit happen with ads or pop ups online since running these apps. I used to receive 5 calls a day from numbers very similar to mine before installing Hiya and now these calls disappeared. Don't worry about missing calls either, as Hiya first checks your list of contacts and doesn't block people from those numbers. Even if an important call is blocked it simply sends it to your voicemail so they can still chose to leave a message, which robocalls rarely do. Additionally, in the options you can set it to still show the call but just give a warning that it's probably a spam call.
