Collected car today from the shop ... fun never stops

Collected the car today... drove her for hours she drives beautifully. I'm really glad i listened to the recommendations of many members here, going for the intank pump, among others...

Temp overheating issue is gone, but I think as an extra precaution, I'm gonna install another fan, plastic one up front for the Aircon system...

I do have one question though, when I stopped to fill up with gas, and took off the cap, there was a sound ( like pressure release) like I've just opened a plastic soft drink bottle... not sure if it was suction or pressure release... it was after a 45-odd minute drive in quite warm weather...

Could this be from my Fuel Cell Pressure Relieving Vent Valve installation? I've never had this before. Pic shows the installation...

I do not like how that set-up is mounted. By the looks of it, they disassembled the roll over vent that came from your Tanks Inc purchase and screwed it on the end of the pressure relief valve. That roll over piece is supposed to be mounted vertically to function properly. It is likely sealing off the way for the relief valve to exhaust the excess pressure. At minimum I would turn that whole assembly 90 degrees so that the silver cap is on top. Better to lose that thing altogether, IMHO.

Noted will try that... better to lose what though? The roll-over valve or the pressure release valve?

Also, if they are to be installed together, what's the best way to do so?

You can lose the rollover piece as far as I am concerned. If you are involved in an accident that results in the car being upside down you've got more than enough to worry about. The pressure control valve is a must. If you want to keep it, as I wrote earlier, it needs to be mounted vertically and preferably higher up. Hard to tell from that pic if it is actually at a point higher than the tank and filler neck as required to function properly. I would also double check that the shop installed the valve in the correct orientation. It should have an arrow on the side or stamped in/out to indicate flow direction. Given the way they mounted that assembly I wouldn't be surprised if it was backward.
 
I guess I should also note that although you had a bit of pressure release when opening the tank we don't know just how much. Could have been minor (normal) and not enough to even open the relief valve. Still a good idea to verify everything is installed properly.

When you have an arrow pointing in 1 direction, as per the attached image, is that the direction of the flow?

Here's a clearer picture of mine, might be the wrong way around if matching with that picture.

It looks like it is etched that the arrow should point to the tank but can;t be sure as I can't read it all. Best to stick your head under there and confirm it is correct. I can't see mine as it is hidden under a floor board in my truck or I would verify for you.
 
No worries thanks for your help. This is at the highest point we can manage, it is at the level of the fuel filler neck. Will go to the shop tomorrow and we will rotate it 90 degrees and make sure it's on the right way.

So apparently this is only the cap of the rollover vent valve and not the valve itself. Given our hot climate here I'm not so sure I want to keep the pressure release valve, with temperatures reaching 115F here, I don't want to risk over pressurizing the fuel tank which stands a potential risk for an explosion God forbid, since this valve only releases any excess pressure, the fuel tank still remains under pressure at all times.

Not worth it, plus the pressure release valve made no difference to the fuel smell in my car or garage. May as well remove it and just put the rollover valve back on again.
