What a stressful year, a couple deaths in the family, mine and my wife's health and other things. Now, just got the results from my heart checkup, they said see you next week at the hospital for a "Procedure".

Seems the chest discomfort WAS something after all. Go in for a few more tests and the either a stint or bypass surgery.

So y'all will have to keep the fort down and the rift-raft in while I am in recovery.

Look at it like you're just one of our older, high mileage cars and need to go in for some routine system maintenance. Flush some fluids, swap out a filter or two and back on the road for another long stretch. In all seriousness, be thankful you had things checked out and didn't just ignore the symptoms like so many of us do. Looking at it in that light it's a GREAT thing you are going in to make sure you're good to go.

Wrong attitude...you should be looking FORWARD to next year!
Now go get that maintenance done.....see you at the next car show.

All the best John. Get fixed up and firing on all eight. Next year will be better. Keep us posted.

Good luck with the procedure, we'll keep praying for you.

This year has me adding hypertension and borderline diabetes and a few more pills to my already long list of issues. My BP was ringing in around 180/110!

Same thinking here.
Look, we are all in the same boot here and looking back has no sense.
You can't change the past but you can built on a future.
It will go ok for you , its just maintenance!

Better to have been found during a checkup than down on the floor unconscious. Bet the doctor wants you change some things in your lifestyle. Might want to listen. Good luck with the procedure.

My son who is 48 was having chest pains so his wife took him to emergency. He needed a stent so they did that. Further tests showed a nerve cluster wasn't working. You know how some young healthy people just drop dead of a heart attack? Well this nerve cluster prevents that by getting the heart back into rhythm, but it wasn't working so they put in a pacemaker/defibrillator. Its been a couple months now and hes doing fine. So let the docs kick the tires, and change the fluids, and you'll be on the road again in no time.

We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers, John.

Your check engine light came on. Get it checked!

Thank y'all, I'm schedule to have what ever on the 4th. Go in Wednesday for one more test to see if I need a stint or bypass.

Thanks for the prayers everyone. Turnout my test that said I had a blockage was a false positive. After scoping me, they could not find any blockage. Back to square 1 to see why I feel so rotten (Still think it is my high blood pressure meds).

Got a physical and another round of test in a couple weeks. meanwhile, I have to take it eazy and not lift anything over 5 lbs until the incision heals in a week.

My brother in laws dad went in for his heart checkup at found it was working at 19%!!!!!. Came out with 3 stents and said his head is much clearer . Amazing he was still functioning at 80 years old .
