2018 StangFix Fantasy Football League

So I've got Ryan Fitzpatrick, DeSean Jackson, and Antonio Brown tonight. I'm betting they all lay an egg. That's my luck.
 
Bucs come down to reality tonight, I feel. Steelers cannot afford another loss so their D should be laying it all out. Hard to get those long pass plays off with blitzes in your face quickly. Plus Fitz is bound to lose some steam any time now.
 
For what is worth I enjoyed watching the game. Defense finally woke up. Ben showing what he is about.

I was half right. The first half. Second half Fitz got it back. We get him this week. Kinda nervous, honestly. BEARS should shut them down but big plays happen. Our offense cannot put up the points to keep up if he gets hot.

I forgot the game was on, when I did turn it on Fitz threw his first int...quickly followed by his 2nd and 3rd. Jackson was invisible til he ran back the punt, but of course a penalty. Not sure who I will be starting this week....doesn't matter, I will choose poorly. Tell you what, I will start Fitz just for you, cause if I start him he will suck! Your welcome.
 
So last night I'm flipping thru the channels and see the Indy/NE game is about to start. Crap, I've got Andrew Luck on the bench and wanted to start him. Check and I still have time, insert him into my lineup. Then the announcers start talking about all of Indy's injuries, no one to throw the ball to, how Luck is going to have a tough night....so I put him back on the bench. 35 points later....
 
Oh, the woulda coulda bit. Don't sweat it. Hard to play Luck in that one with Hilton sitting. Besides, you've got Stafford lined up. He will have a good game against the Packers. Don't buy all the talk about their D being better. Matty will roast 'em at home.
 
Been over a month without any posts here. About as quiet as the message boards over on the League site. Come on people! Aside from Tim, Mark and myself it is church mouse quiet on Sundays. That's just not right. Whether on your computer of phone, the ESPN site has provision for chat 24/7 in our league. You guys should hear the shit Tim is saying about all of you behind your backs ;):D:rolleyes: Don't let him get away with it.

For everyone not in the league that might have a minor interest here is where things stand 9 weeks in with 5 regular weeks to go. Three teams at 7-2 (Tim, my boys and myself). My old friend sits alone at 6-3. Jim is at 5-4. Mark (Sgt.J) is at 4-4-1 with Tim's daughter nipping at his heels at 4-5. Three other teams which include Skid and Steve are pulling up the rear.

This has been by far our most competitive year, I think. 7 teams well in the hunt to make the championship playoffs. this has been Tim's best year by a long shot. I think he might actually feel like he could win this thing.

That is the part of the league that makes it fun. But I have to agree that it has been a little quite lately. I always say it is better to be lucky than good, and I have been extremely lucky this season.

Been busy living life. Helping my neighbor with harvesting his corn, signing in the church choir, trying to get the brakes on my truck squared away and spending time with Family. Plus it is fricken cold!
 
Haven't made much of an effort to keep updates on the league going here as interest seems lacking outside those participating. So much hate for the NFL among you old farts. :( We have lots of newbies who have shown up lately so make note that we run a fantasy league every season and need players. Next year don't be shy about joining the league.

Anyway, last week of the regular NFL season kicks off today which marks the end of the fantasy playoffs. We are in the final stage with Tim (FordDude) and myself vying for the crown. Jim (Jims6t6) is facing an uphill battle to claim third from a friend of mine. Mark (Sgt. Junior) looks to be favored to take out Tim's daughter and lay claim to winner of the consolation bracket.

And its over. Tim trounced me with a huge week to claim the title this year. Jim made a good effort but fell short of third place. Mark H did manage to come out on top as number one loser. :p
