Good looking engine bays

My preference is a red block varying degrees of silver / satin tones for accessories. I don't like drawing attention to wires and hoses and prefer to keep them all black.

Regardless of stock or modified, I think paying attention to how hoses and wires are routed can make a world of difference... hiding them is great, but when you can't get away with it, running them in an orderly fashion looks a lot better than a rats nest of everything crossing over each other.

I still have things to address on mine, but I'm making progress...

After looking at these pics, I ordered a black air filter top to see if I like it better than the current chrome one. Will post comparison pics soon.

I guess I could have photoshopped it but oh well

Did you go flat black? Gloss or black chrome?

I have an extra K&N 14" chrome cover and GT base. If you need either.

Satin. Actually it's a complete air cleaner and I might swap out the base as well as long as it fits. But all I was after was the top. Will have it hopefully by this Friday.

I prefer a stock looking engine bay on an original car. If it's modified I like it to look like it COULD have been that way on day two after adding period aftermarket stuff.

I'm not a big fan of chrome and much prefer a nice clean appearance. Here is mine the way it used to look:

Next time it will be even more restrained, with fabricated aluminum rocker covers, a simple round air cleaner, and straight MC bar.

I'm a firm believer in less is more.
