Mach1Mark's '65 coupe restomod

Yesterday, I trial fitted the custom transmission support (needs a little modding) and trial fit the new Ford-tooling black dash pad (it fits nicely).

Today, I installed the emergency brake. Yup. That's all. It was frustrating to attempt to re-install a part where the only thing you've done to it since you removed it was to clean it up an find out it doesn't fit its original location. Had to tweek and file one of the brackets several times before it all fit properly on the car.

Today, I took the rear seats to a local upholstery shop to have the new upholstery installed. They should be finished next week. Pics to follow. I also paid more towards the deposit to my engine builder. They said the short block kit should be ready to ship in a month. #fordstrokers.com

Picked up the rear seats from the Trim shop. Not perfect but decent.

Thanks, John. My short block arrives this week from Fordstrokers, I cant wait !!
Not quite done adjusting the door glass and I am trying to get the interior more finished and empty our my new-parts-to-install box. I've had the new palomino door panels for quite a while, I need to make some water shields. I'm thinking I should buy the carpet and order the front seats from Scat.

I finally broke down this past week and bought a bunch of large Rubbermaid containers to finally sort out all of my parts into "my new-parts-to-install box(es)"! :)

Today I test fit the freshly re-covered rear seat back and installed the hidden radio antennae on the package tray, removed vacuum brake booster and connected front brake lines to the distribution block and attached the lines to the firewall.

What are your engine plans? Looks like a deep dish on that piston top. Are you going power-adder? What kind of compression number do you expect?

The pistons have a 22cc dish and when combined with the 58cc combustion chamber I should have a 10.5:1 CR. I want to be able to run this motor on pump premium. No power adders planned, I am having a cam designed for some 48IDA Weber carbs. All throttle, no bottle !!

Today I had a machinist check the bearing tolerances. All were very consistant and within acceptable range. Let the assembly begin !!
Steve @ SellersRodShop fabbed my T5 trans support. I test fit it today and it fits !!
