Air Filter Replacement

Going to need to clarify. Are you asking if you can replace the air cleaner with a modern cold air intake style set-up? How about a picture of what you have and have in mind. Just about anything is possible. A whole lot is really not advisable!

I asume you have a stock air filter housing when you say " I have to replace "
If it has the same diameter and height , why not.
If the height is different , you need a "deeper" bottom but then you can have trottle clearance issues.
hope this can help , other way you give us a picture like Terry mentioned.

As Bruno mentions, if hood clearance is an issue, the aftermarket drop bottom round base allows for a taller air filter element, (in my case 3") while still allowing for hood clearance, sometimes an issue on these old rigs.
