Hey Bears fans

The Glennon thing perplexes me. The Bears have no one on staff close to what one might call a QB whisperer. The OC is a joke. Not sure what this move is supposed to allow them to do. He has shown flashes but so did Cutler. Cutler has a better arm, accuracy and he is more mobile than people outside of Chicago give him credit. Glennon is a rock. Can't move. How is he an upgrade? Basically same money. The only answer is a change in the locker room. Maybe that was really needed. I sure hope they don't think he is the long term answer.

While they were wasting time with the QB nonsense the top CBs, a glaring need, were left to find other landing spots. Grrrrrr

being from Chicago, the only teams we could get excited about were the Bulls when Jordan played and the Bears in the 80's. The Black Hawks have been pretty good over the years but in the old days you could only see games if you actually went to them, no coverage on TV like now. And the Cubs and Sox have always sucked. I have been a loyal Hawks fan for a long time just because I like hockey, but I really don't like baseball and they lost me with the big strike in the 90's. NFL has become too political so I haven't watched any football this past season. The NFL players are always in the news for beating one of their baby mamas or getting a DUI or something along those lines. I can't really get excited about football. The Bulls are not much to get excited about but basketball in general is more fun to watch than boring sports like football and baseball.
But back to the Bears, in Aurora where I grew up, Walter Payton bought and revived an old railway round house and made a restaurant/pub and brewhouse out of it. My wife and I loved to go there. He was there one night and we approached him for an autograph. He asked us to join him and we sat with him and talked like we were old friends. He was a really great guy. Not like the "stars" or so-called sports hero's in the NFL today.
Sorry for the rant, now get off my lawn...
