I have a 1966 Mustang 289 coupe with the street or track coil over front suspension kit install with the shelby 1 inch drop. I have 15X7 American Eagle 5 spoked Alloy rims with 3-7/8 back space.I would like to know what is a good tire size to go with with out rubbing any thing? the car is just a daily driver Thanks
 
Do a Google search for "Dodgestang wheel chart". I understand he took the chart down, but there are places you can still find it.
 
on the front you can run anything from a 206/60 to a 225/60. the 225 though would be a bit close to the fender, and might rub in severe conditions.
 
I recently had a similar setup on my '66 GT except I have full roller ORP suspension. I had 15x7 3.75 BS TTD's with 225/60-15's. With just me in the car, it would only rub while turning and dipping, like entering the driveway. With passengers, it was much worse. I felt like if it had 1/2" more BS it would have cleared. I run -1 degree of camber and +4 caster. -2 to -2 1/2 degree camber might have also cured the issue. I'm certain 215/60-15's would have cleared.

I also have a SoT front suspension on my 66. Ity the non coil over which shouldn't make a difference. I also have Opentracker's camber kit. My camber is just a tick over 1° negative. I have the 15x7 TTD's. I have 215/60/15 all around with rolled lips. Just a touch of rubbing under some hard turns. As Pat said, all these cars are different.
 
I went with 195 55R 15 on the front and 195 60R 15 on the rear on my American Eagle Alloy Rims I think should work good with my Street or Track Coilover Front sus
