battling thedisease

working on battling alcolohism,

meeting on Monday to set up a 30 day rehab. hard to admit to do this to fix me. just keep me in your thoughts so I can come back stronger than ever.

You can do this Steve. We're here for you man.

You have us for support.

My father battled alcoholism throughout his life but managed to get it under control. It's not an easy road. But it certainly can be won.

Let us know if we can help. If you just need to talk about it.

Don't know you, but best of wishes to you. I watched my grandfather kill him self. He never took the first step which seems to be the hardest. You have done that. If you can recognize the problem, you can find a solution. God Bless.

Thanks, guys.my youngest (and only out o 5 siblings) sister is very much willing to help me. I will tackle this monster and appreciate your support.
Demons we all hhave but I have to deal with me.

Just pray.

praying for ya, my grandfather died before I was born but my dad told me all about him. He battled it too. It won't be easy but you are already on the right track wanting to kick it

Well I do know you and had no idea. Wish you the best and success in your recovery. Your reward for sharing is getting prayers going your way.

Tim

Take one step. Look around. Take one step. Look around. Take one step. Repeat. Before you know it you are miles ahead on your journey. Good luck. You WILL do it

It will be six years this oct since I have had a drink, tough at first but it is amazing how little I miss it, I never hit rock bottom but I was heading there --I binge drank, I went home when I ran out of money or the bar closed, (then sometimes carried on all night anywhere) attend meetings with your head held high, I did and met some amazing people along the way. Good luck on this and I know from experience it can be done!

you can do it brother, just take it one step at a time, rather like restoring a car.

or as charles emmerson winchester said in the show MASH once, "i do one thing at a time, i do it very well and then i move on".

i have faith in you brother that you can beat the demon alcohol in fine fashion.

I have every confidence in the world Steve will handle his business just fine.

I also want to reassure anyone here in the industry that I will do my part to make up the difference. :p
