Branham High School Marching Band (San Jose, CA) is holding its First Annual Car Show this coming May 13th. Here is the link for further details and on line registration. Spectators are free so if you are within a reasonable distance from San Jose, say 100 miles (!) come on over. All makes and models are welcome and a good sized Mustang presence is assured.

Stang Fix member Diane Wyant is the Band Director @ Branham and owns the red '69 Mach 1 in the event flier. (The white '57 Coupe de Ville belongs to one of the band members and the yellow '56 Chevy belongs to his uncle.) The field shows she produces are very theatrical and entertaining. Videos of past performances can be found on the link above. The program is entirely funded by the Band Boosters who substantially fund the effort out of their own pockets with a portion coming from fundraiser activities. Help make this a successful fund raiser

Only 10 days to go before the Show!!! Saturday the 6th is the last day to get the discounted registration fee of $25.00 Note registration includes a world class BBQ plate lunch and an event "T" shirt so the cost of registration nets out to ZERO. Come out for a good time. Hope to see the local Fixers there.

6 days to go before the show. At present nearly 60 cars are preregistered and there is still time to do so before the show.
The peoples' choice format will result in 12 trophy winners. Spent about 4 hours yesterday welding the trophies together. All are one of a kind and some might agree that they are artistic !!! Come on down and see for yourself.

Actually another volunteer, Dan, performed the main welding while I assisted in procuring and cleaning "parts" and collaborated on the individual trophy designs.

Less than 24 hours to the Branham Car Show, still room in the show field and spectating is free. World class BBQ for lunch, live music from the Band program, silent auction items, vendors, and a vault full of adult beverages, etc. is being raffled off if you buy the right key! We already have 10 Mustangs registered out of a show field that we expect will have about 80 cars.

Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I survived the car show on 3 hours sleep. There sure are a lot of moving parts when it comes to putting on a car show. We enjoyed great weather, fantastic turnout (103 cars) served 320 lunch plates, sold nearly all of the T-shirts, all the raffle and silent auction items, had 4 vendors and provided all attendees with a very enjoyable experience. Not bad for a first time effort.

Recognition by way of "Peoples' Choice" Ballots yielded Joanne, (Mrs KBMWRS) a win in two categories "Best Get Away Car" and "Car Most Likely to Get a Date In" with her arrest-me-yellow 2016 Corvette. KB3 and son KB4 won the Road Warrior class having traveled the most miles to the show from the Central Valley to San Jose with Kennan's spectacular '66 Fastback.

Thanks for all the local Mustangers who helped make the event a fund raising success.

Mike:

If her car is fast, fun, and loud, it deserves to win!!!!!!!!!:D

Remember, this was peoples' choice ballot and the folks who voted know what they like.

looks like a great show!
Is the "arrest-me-yellow 2016 Corvette" what you will be driving on your world tour?
