Hi. I thought I'd post a few upcoming Ford events in the Bay Area. If anyone has more to add, please do so...

May 21, 7:00am - late
Fast Fords & Muscle Mustangs
Sacramento Raceway Park
5305 Excelsior Road, Sacramento, CA 95827
http://sacramentoraceway.com/specialty-events-2/ford/
This has it all: Car show, drag racing, autocross, swap meet, & mobile dyno!

June 3, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Cobra Day
The Cobra Experience
777 Arnold Drive, Suite 200, Martinez, Ca 94553
http://www.cobraday.org/
All Ford show, 1970 and earlier. If you've never been to the museum, it is a must see, with millions of dollars worth of Cobras, Shelbys, GT40s, etc.inside. Plus a car show outside!

June 17, 8:00am - 3:00pm
VMOA 40th Annual Car Show
1711 Winchester Blvd @ Latimer Ave, Campbell, CA
https://vintagemustang.org/annual-car-show-2-2-2/
40 years strong, what more can I say? Not as big as when it used to be at De Anza College, but still an amazing show with beautiful cars and great people.

June 25, 10:00am - 3:00pm
Ponies and Snakes 2017
The Livery, 400 Sycamore Valley Rd West, Danville, CA 94526
http://www.poniesandsnakes.com/
Always a great turnout of Mustangs, Shelbys, Cobras, etc. Live music. Plus it's right by several restaurants for lunch.

That's all I can think of for now. Hope to see some of you (and your cars) there.

Here are a few that come to mind...........................................

This Saturday, May 20th, the San Jose Mustangs Club is cruising to Salinas Valley Ford for a show at the Ford dealership.

Though not Mustang centric, here are several other "area" events that are worth a look:

June 3, Good Guys Summer event at Pleasanton Fairgrounds. One of four annual events that the Good Guys put on here.

2nd Saturday of every month is "Ronnie's Morning Get Together" on Hillsdale (Target Parking Lot) in San Jose. This is our local "Cars and Coffee" event and Coffee & Donuts are provided by Ronnie. Great turnout including Mustangs and vintage Fords every month. Come and go as you please.

June 9-11, Graffiti Festival in Modesto. Friday evening, Downtown Modesto becomes a cruising loop for several hundred vintage cars a la American Graffiti, the movie; Saturday and Sunday is a car show at the Muni golf course. The Mo-town Fixers are very hospitable and show us out of towners a good time. The Central Valley folks have some really spectacular cars.

July 2, Concours at Kirigin Valley (the Winery) in Gilroy. Beautiful setting and quite a wide selection of beautiful cars. Registration includes two admissions, two BBQ meals, 2 glasses of wine, and 2 bottles of Kirigin wine to take home.

July 16, Saratoga Classic Car Show in downtown Saratoga. Big Basin Way ("Main Street") becomes the show field and the village merchants roll out the welcome mat serving special menu lunches, and other event activities. This show spans the spectrum from an a rat rod to a Bugatti Veyron and usually includes cars from the 1920's up to present day models.. Plenty of Pony cars and Ford Muscle in attendance. Lots of things to do in addition to drooling over the displayed cars.

August 7-12, Hot August Nights in Reno. If you have never been to one, put it on your bucket list, it is a car show on steroids. Visualize several thousand amazing cars in five venues with car centric activities day and night for a week. Come for any part of that week and be prepared to be amazed.

September 10, "Cruise for a Cause" in the downtown Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose. The local Italian Deli guys (Goombah's formerly known as the "Rompacoglioni Car Crew") put on this fund raiser for the Second Harvest Food Bank every year for the past 9 years and Lincoln Avenue ("Main Street") looks like a blast from the past. Several hundred local cars show up, lots to do and see. This is my local neighborhood event.

September 23-24 "Taste of Morgan Hill" Chamber of Commerce Booster type Event with a Car Show on Monterey Street. Food, beverage, street vendors, etc. Large turn out with a good cross section of nice cars

Probably one of the bigger classic car shows and cruises around. We anticipate over 900 pre 1979 cars to be cruising the street on Friday night and on display Saturday. It is a show that should not be missed. Check the other thread for more details.
