1973 Mach 1 Mustang

Owners are probably ashamed to admit to owning one. Not the highest point in the Mustang hierarchy.

Drove a 76 Mustang II in auto shop when I was high school. It was a coupe with a smogged down 302 but was still fun. I prefer the fastbacks

i had the GM version, a 1980 Monza Spyder. I really liked it. I would have loved having a MII

When I was in high school, one of the members in the sports car club I was in (El Conejo (rabbit) sports car club). He had a Monza with a v-8 in it and he drove it so hard it melted the hubcaps (plastic) on the front wheels.

I need someone who still has it. Or close to it..

What do you need to know? There are a few (very few sometimes) knowledgeable people here. Some have at least seen a 73 Mach 1 in a magazine once, hell Terry has a poster of one in his garage. Pretty much a 73 expert.

i have driven a few monza based GM cars, they are funt o drive, they just have an issue with tail happiness from time to time under certain circumstances. i have also driven a couple of mustang lls as well. i liked them all.

Emilio: what do you want/need? Information? Advice? I know many people on a 71-73 forum that are quite knowledgeable and have some gorgeous cars.

mine was a 4 cylinder but it threw a rod so I put a 231 Buick V6 in it. That was a a great combo with the stock 4 speed. I had a friend with a 79 that was a factory 305 V8. It was a blast too.
I don't understand these guys getting off topic. we are talking about GM cars here right!?!?

When I was in High School they still offered Drivers training as a class. Taught by various coaches. Our fleet was '73 Fords. 2 Gran Torinos, LTD and a Mustang. My luck of the draw was the LTD. The only modification to the cars was a brake on the passenger side.
