A German surprise.

when it comes to corvettes, i like them all, until you get to the current generation vettes. chevy screwed up the styling on them.

Actually, the red one is a far better automobile in every respect. The '69 427/390hp was sort of a pig in acceleration and, because of the massive engine block hung out in front, was a really poor handling car. Every time I took it to a Corvette show, however, it got lots of attention because it was "a 427, man".

Well naturally the new one is a better car.

If you compare the new mustang to the classic one it is the same story. But I would rather own the classic.

my older son's friend has a BMW because he really likes it. He does not like the stigma that comes with owning a BMW. It's one of those stereotypes that isn't always true but more often than not it is. But it's not just European cars. Mike might be able to speak of the "Corvette" crowd...
I own a Corvette too, and I can attest to what a bunch of snobbish jerks aggregated Corvette owners can be. I joined a Corvette club up here in the Sacramento area after I bought my C6, which cost me $100 in annual dues, and stopped attending after the first couple of months because it was a country club type atmosphere. All the old ladies were running the thing and were more involved with social crap than with the cars. I also joined the Sierra Mustang Club for the princely sum of $25 and am an active member because they are such fun folks who are not self impressed.

So how do you upload a photo from your computer to this site? I was going to show off my Victory Red Corvette, but I can't figure it out. Most forums have a browse function that allows you to import photos from your files.

When you reply or post, there's an option to upload attachments at the bottom of the page.

Wow! That passionate purple beauty is for sale? I'll bet you can really get the girls with that Mary Kay special! But I have a Meadowlark Yellow convertible, so I guess I can't talk. Thanks for the help on the upload procedure. I was looking for it in the top menu bar.

Well , I have owned a yellow 75 corvette for a few years and never got the thumbs up on the highway.
With the 67 mustang I got many times a thumb up of people passing by.
So generally more people like Mustangs then Corvettes , even in Europe.!!

I had a Mustang mechanic find a high rpm miss in my '69 Meadowlark Yellow Mustang convertible and he told me that he was constantly getting thumbs up and comments when he was out test driving it. Made me feel good because this is a Mustang guy who drives vintage ponies all the time.

But, I get lots of comments on my Victory Red '09 Corvette as well. Had a woman say "Hot looking ride" in a parking lot at the grocery store the other day. If she's been better looking I might have responded "Yeah, you too" but I settled for "Thank you".;)

Yeah I don't get too many thumbs up in my Volvo.

But the mustang, people will race up to get alongside and then just Hang there to give me a thumbs up.

People pull along side me all the time and give me a middle finger. Anyone know what that means?
