Then it would look like the Family Truckster

that vehicle looks very similar to the 1973 Mercury Colony Park my parents had. 10 passenger wagon that go 12 MPOG no matter how fast you drove it.

We taking bets on when was the last time that happened ?

Well the guy we got it from has had it about two years so I'm guessing at least two years ago because it was sitting in a pasture next to his shop building. Unless some cows or goats knew how to open the tailgate...

I know! It's bigger than the truck we used to tow it home. We did get it running today. The fuel pump is sketchy. We unhooked the line from the tank and the carb. Ran a line into a gas can and cranked it over. We got a couple pulses of fuel but weak and then nothing. Diaphragm must be bad. So I put a funnel on the gas line into the carb and he started it. It ran on the fuel we poured in until it was all gone. It wouldn't idle very well so carb is probably full of crud. But it would rev a little and no knocking or ticking. None of the idiot lights came on so it is promising. He ordered a fuel pump and we'll pull the carb apart and see if it's fixable.

We had a brownish Torino wagon growing up. Had theCleveland engine. It was a tank!

my dad never liked big cars or four door cars. I grew up with him having a 64 Falcon Sprint when I was born. Then a 69 Torino two door formal roof until I graduated high school. He then bought a 83 T-Bird and had that until he got a 92 T-Bird (which I still have). The biggest vehicle he had was a 2001 F150 he bought new.
But my uncle on the other hand always has big cars. Galaxy's, LTD's, etc. and some were wagons. I always thought of wagons kind of like I now think of mini vans. I never wanted one. But now for some reason, probably my son, I am into them. I wouldn't own one myself but I am enjoying my son's!
