Major props to Ken (kb3)!!

Just wanted to throw out a shout out to Ken (kb3) for being an awesome upstanding guy! Thanks so much for always being up to help out a Stangfixer in need!!

In short: Ken offered to drive five hours out to Tioga Pass to meet me to tow Jane's sorry rump back to his place in Modesto for some silly repairs related to a disagreement between the flywheel and the starter. I ended up being able to limp most of the way to him, but the sentiment remains. He opened up his garage to us and helped me yank Jane's transmission out, get a new ring gear on the flywheel, put a new thermostat in ("while we're at it"), and throw it all back together so that I could get back on the road! Way above and beyond the average "hey can I use your shop real quick" repair.

Jane's undercarriage is now smeared with a liberal amount of blood (hopefully an appropriate amount for sacrifice) and she has no more excuses for not starting. We're back on the road and hopefully won't get in too much more trouble before we get home!

Thanks again Ken (and Gayle) for your hospitality and help and everything else! I majorly owe you one :)

Glad to hear it. Does that mean you're in running for the Dumbo SOB award for this month?

that's awesome! Glad you are on the road again and way to go Ken!
Jane, hope you like your new teeth!

Someone send her a toiled seat to display with Jane. Jane had to be towed twice.

Ken and the rest carry on the tradition of hospitality the VMF was founded on and we brought here.

Thanks for watching out for Kelly!

For the most part we are a bunch of crusty old farts here at the StangFix, but most of us are good human beings, some are really good humans.

No question, Ken & Gayle are good people.

For those paying attention, remember that while we were all at Graffiti in early June, Ken and Gayle hosted a BBQ at their place and at one point Ken gave us a tour of his most impressive shop. Kelly was drooling then!!!!!
I suppose that when asked about a place to take a car for repairs, she can now say "I got a guy in North Carolina and a I got a guy in California, which coast are you on?" lol

That is awesome - I am working on searching to stash my Mustang while I pack my things and get out of the house - having friends who unconditionally will help one is priceless. Glad Kelly has one on each coast.....

She needs to come down to the Gulf Coast, so she can claim to be tri-coastal!

Just remember Steve a friend will help you move, a really good friend will help you move a body. :p
