Hey, all of my family is safe, I still have a roof over my head, I have power while 54,000 + in my county do not, I have a job to go to tomorrow, losing a fantasy match-up doesn't even make a blip on my screen right now.

Glad to hear you guys made it through ok. My brother in law and his family had no major damage and their power is still on.

I see that it did take away your sense of humor though

My tastes have changed to Rye whiskey, particularly Tap 357. Mmmm-mmmm-mmmm-mmmm-mmmm.

What a coincidence, I "discovered" Rye about a year and a half ago. Since then I suppose I've enjoyed a couple of dozen different Ryes each with distinct flavors. My favorites currently include, Templeton, Buffalo Trace, Whistle Pig, High West, and Sazerac. As recently as a couple of weeks ago, we hosted a Rye tasting with an out of town guest from Hawaii. Apparently the stock of Rye on the Hilo side of the Big Island is sparse. Though he seemed to enjoy it at the time, apparently he doesn't remember much............
You have inspired me to locate and sample some Tap 357!!

Next time you find yourself out here, let's make a point to "compare notes" on Rye.

Regards, Jeff

Will do. I will warn you, however, that Tap 357 is somewhat on the sweet side, as it is flavored with a bit of maple syrup. It is hard to find here on the shelf; I have to order it.

I like good bourbons and whiskeys, but most are made out of corn. Do you know how much corn we Americans consume as individuals? Rye is one of the few whiskeys not made with corn as their base.
