When I log in I see two teams - stangfix 2017 and 2017 stangfix - 2017 stangfix has me against HARM. stangfix 2017 has me against TMR - is there an error or is this the double whammy league?

Draft is just an hour and a half away. Make sure you are in the right league...not the one from last year. This year is 2017 StangFix. Since it's the only one with a scheduled draft should be easy enough to see if you are in the right place. I don't want to delete last year yet as we typically reference it during the season. Pretty sure Dale wants it to remain forever.
If you see David in the league then you are in the wrong one.

Ok people, listen up! Season kicks off TOMORROW night! Get your rosters set. The all Florida game got postponed/reset for week 11 so all Dolphin and Buc players start the season on a bye. Ouch. Make sure to replace 'em if you got 'em.
Also, lots of ways to post messages, talk smack and the like on the ESPN league page. Let's not leave it to just a few of us to do all the talking. The front page is the fast track to league wide messaging. If you go to the scoreboard tab you can call up each match-up and lay down some critique if you like as well. I plan to revise the trophy awards this season after taking a few off. Truth be told I added another shelf to the old mantle and have room for more.

Last nights game was a hell of a start to the season. It was also a great example of how studs can be duds and unknowns can rocket to great heights. Manage your teams guys. Your only responsibility to the league is to field the best team you can each and every week. Injuries happen during practice not just games. Pay attention. Someone may be a scratch come game day. Your job is to make sure you field a COMPLETE competitive team each week. Every year we have mangers fail to do so and it skews everything. DON'T BE THAT GUY. Make two minutes available just before Sunday to assemble/check your roster.
Week 1 is in the books and week 2 got off to a slow start last night. What's with the Bengals?!
Not unexpectedly, half the teams won and half lost in the opening weekend. If yours was on the losing end this weekend's tilts hold great importance. Starting off 0-2 is not the path to the postseason. I did see a fair amount of roster actions since the waiver wire opened up this week but not every manager seems to have made moves. Keep it in mind. Nothing wrong with making a player swap or two. Maybe even approach another manager with a trade offer. All the action is not limited to game days.
As usual, I will remind everyone to please take a minute or two to make sure you have a full roster of players each week. Injuries happen, etc.

So my fantasy team got its butt kicked....but who cares, my Lions are 2-0!!! Defense was so dominant that Eli Manning sacked himself! Falcons up next though...

The season is off to a good start and we have had good participation from all managers. Keep it up! The injuries are starting to pile up so some rosters might require work to keep a fully competitive line-up in place in week. The BYE weeks are just around the corner so make sure you have players ready to fill in for your starters when they take the weekend off.
I'm trying hard to keep updating the Manager's Note (front page of site) pretty often. I'm using it to advise of relevant league news and keep everyone up to date on stuff. There is also a message board available which a number of guys are using to talk smack, share thoughts, etc. One such idea was to incorporate an "awards" system as we had done in years past. Teams/managers earn or lose "stars" based on certain performance efforts, etc. Tim suggested adding an injury based piece so I added the M*A*S*H Award today and assigned it to a couple guys who lost a key player to injury this season. I'm sure that particular one will be almost a weekly prize unfortunately. So for some of you guys who haven't done more than fill your roster consider taking part in more of the stuff going on over there. Maybe start a thread about how the current champ can't find his way into the win column or something.
The first game tomorrow kicks off in London VERY early. Make sure you have your squad set-up in time before players on those teams get locked.
