Dim Dash Lights

Hi

I have this issue. At night, i can't see how fast I'm going! With the top down i rely on the street lights for that

Those who did a lighting upgrade on their gauges, can you suggest sources and links? I'm in a 65 so my dials are the classic (falcon) ones.

Thanks! JB

I think you can turn the knob (clock- or counterclockwise ) of the headlight switch , to dimm the clusters lights.

maybe its time to change the bulbs in the cluster.
Do you see nothing at all or just a bit ?

I had the same problem. It turned out to be my headlight switch.

Swap to LED bulbs and marvel at the brightness. Seriously, the stock set-up is just not bright enough. There are endless sources for LED bulbs. Just pick your favorite and order some up. Every light in my car is LED and not only does it make reading gauges easier, it actually makes them look better. Instead of standard yellowish light LEDs can give pure white (or any hue you desire) which really makes things shine.

Please do not put an LED lamp in an alternator indicator lamp socket; that changes the resistance and may make charging your battery in trouble.
