Knotts Weekend April 13-15th

Kelly:

Let's tackle one schedule conflict at a time here!!

Happy to pick you up at the airport. Fly into John Wayne (SNA), it's about a 1/2 hour from Knott's. Let me know. You still have my number?

Yep, of course I've got your number! Ends in 5665, right?

You planning on going to Graffiti this year?

So I don't know anyone on here but I've registered my '66 for FabFords. I recently moved to LA so I'll probably just cruise over to the show the morning of. Looking forward to meeting many fellow Mustang enthusiasts!

Brent - I would encourage you to join in on some of our other activities, we are mostly harmless. Our dinner at Outback Friday night is a very casual get together, same for most of our gatherings. We welcome everyone . Some of us even bring cars!

I echo Ken's sentiments (KB#3) Friday evening around 6:00 on the outdoor seating balcony @ the Outback, whoever is in town is welcome to join in and hang out. Saturday evening dinner down the street at Rock & Brew, same format. Both dinners are walking distance from the Courtyard Marriott on Beach Blvd. For those who can crawl out of bed around 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, the local Cars and Coffee in Huntington Beach (Donut Derelicts) is a good place to hang out for a couple of hours. I am sure there will be other conversations about other activities to fill the day Saturday.

On Sunday morning we typically use the El Pollo Loco at the corner of Valley View and La Palma as our staging area so that we can enter the show field together. Note that historically show protocol had been to direct cars to predesignated areas that group like cars together which tends to break up the group somewhat but generally that hasn't been a huge problem. At least all the Stang Fix cars in the same classification entering together will be grouped together for parking.

We do dinner Friday, totally fun, on the way in to the show, dinner on Saturday and on Sunday. We just have a ball.

I encourage you as well to join in.

Ho, group photo at noon on show day.

I appreciate the invites! I'm hoping to book the Marriott for Fri and Sat nights but gotta shift some family events around first. Wife and I are both back in school and have a four year old so it's usually total chaos on the weekends. I'll try to solidify everything this weekend and PM my dinner plans.

Cheers!

We fully understand. The headcount is just so we can get a rough number. We pay individually when we go to each restaurant so no financial obligation upfront.

Well I went ahead and booked Fri and Sat nights at the Marriott and I'll be at Friday's dinner. I had to work in a family trip to Knott's on Saturday so I won't be around then but I'll hopefully meet-up with everyone at Sunday donuts.

Cheers!

I promised my grandson a trip to Knott's. So, Saturday I'll be at Knott's as well. I will make dinner though. Probably bring this kids and grandson.

No sure where we're going to stay yet since the Marriott doesn't like the dog. We need to find a dog friendly place to stay.

Not sure which car we will have as well.

Looks like I might be changing my hotel to the Knott's Motel. The FabFords organization worked out a promotional rate of $118 per night. I just called them and they offer ample parking, have security that patrols the parking lot at night, and most rooms face the parking lot. They don't allow pets, though.

You pay for parking. The rooms aren't as nice.

It is very close to the show though.

I am sure the Knott's hotel is fine, and is close to the show. I know the Marriott is clean and safe! While they don't have roaming patrols, there are lots of nice cars in the parking lot. It is also walking distance to the Outback and Rock & Brews!

Knotts hotel also has plenty of noise.:(

Stayed there a couple years but found convenience of walking a few feet to your car was worth it. Also the center courtyard became a MUST for gathering in the evening.

I guess I will have to get the center courtyard room...since you can't seem to grace us with your presence this year!

Make sure you demand it...like now....don't get it by the swimming pool...your patio door will open to bushes.

I'm not sure where we will be in April so that's why I'm not committing this year.

a good planner would be able to schedule their trip to be at Knotts....just saying.
