New shop

Construction is complete other than the the deck.
Dozer work was finished Friday. Me and my boy seeded and laid straw blanket and a couple bales of straw Monday. Need a few more bales to finish up but we got the areas that may wash.

I need to finish wiring the electric and placing shutters. Got gutters coming one day this week and garages doors are still a week on order.

Looks nice. You didn't wanna smooth out those hills with the dozer?

Couldn’t. Either have it steep or roll it. Pics don’t do a good job of showing how we stepped it and created a swale to take most of the water down and away from structure. I plan to plant some fruit trees on the bench.

That is looking really good, it has come out nice so far. Can't wait to see the pics when you get the doors and all installed.

Having been bitten by drainage problems myself, I have to say I've been worried about yours from the start. Didn't want to be big downer though since it was already well in progress. After those last couple of pics I feel a lot better. I hope the swale works for you. To my very untrained eye it looks like it will be a big help. The last couple of weeks around here we've some pop up storms that drop an impressive amount of water in just a few minutes. Flooding just everything a little. Right about the time my main french drain got clogged the other day. Yeah, even my wife had to tiptoe out into the swamp that was our backyard and go "OOoo!" Couple hours later it was all gone.

Yeah I’d like to claim responsibility for the swale but it was a member on here that brought it to my attention. In all honesty that was about the best you could do with the land given the circumstances. Once landscaped I think it will look and function good.

Shutters, gutters, and doors oh my... deck and stairs to the attic and this building is done.

Me and the boy have been slowly pulling wire to get it electrified. Got a couple buddies that are gonna come next week to help me make the final push to get it all wired and connected.

That really looks great. I'm so jealous.

I wish I had the room to build a shop like that.

Thanks. Appreciate it. Yeah I had to buy the field land adjacent to my property in order to make this happen. I’d hate to put in type what I’ve spent to build this all things considered lol.
