20th Annual Graffiti Festival 2018

Just got the registration packet for Graffiti in Modesto this year. Dates are June 8-10. Current plan is to drive over Friday afternoon for the downtown parade, stay over, and participate at the Saturday show on the Muni Golf Course Fairways. Not quite Pebble Beach but hey, it's Mo-Town!!!!
For those of you unaware, this annual event is tied and themed to the movie "American Graffiti". Lots of fun. The Valley has a lot of great cars (I heard that last year we had about 800 cars participate in the parade). A number of our own 'Fixers are local and are gracious hosts to us out-of-towners. If you are within 100 miles of Mo-Town, you owe it to yourself to come participate. Last year Kelly flew in (1700 miles) for the weekend and had a ball.

I think I will make it this year! And as we have done the last couple of years, I am happy to open my home for a Friday night, after cruise BBQ.
 
I will either be at Graffiti or HAN this year... have yet to decide. But June 8th is my birthday so I'm kind of leaning towards Graffiti for that!
 
OK....time to get serious about the planning for Graffiti...it is only a few weeks away.

As in the last couple of years, I am happy to host the Friday night, post cruise BBQ at my place. I will supply the main dish, just need others to kick in some sides. Also, a head count would be great, so let us know if you are going to make it.

Hi Ken, any updates. I'll be directing traffic Friday night. I'll be at the show Sat and Sun.

Yep...in Kartchner Caverns State Park, AZ......heading for Tombstone today.Tomorrow its on to New Mexico
 
It is supposed to be 106*F in Austin the day that I leave... and will not be below 100*F anywhere south of the snow line until the day of the show (and then it'll be 98*F) :eek:

Not optimal for traveling!!
 
So how was it? Did Kelly get there?

We're on the Natchez Trace trail now heading north to Nashville.
