Got new orders and had to move from Austin, TX to Tomah, WI. What a change.

Tried to get the car as ready as I could. Wasn't able to get the brakes bled in time, so extra care had to be taken. At least we could steer it.

Here's it is first time out of the garage in quite a while.

Didn't have time or access to get a covered trailer, Uhaul had to do. Had to pull the passenger fender off because the car sits really low right now.

Here she is all wrapped up, (Thanks Army! ;)). I know it's not preferred to use a cover but The driver's window isn't installed and there's no hood.

Found a nice place to rest my feet along the way:

Thanks, I only had 20 days from the date I was notified till I had to report in up here. I'm pretty much an Olympic level flaming hoop jumper now after getting things settled in Austin and Getting a place to move into in WI and then move everything in that short time frame.

That's a quick move. The last time we moved we had 2 months and still felt rushed. It also took 3 full trucks to move all our crap. And I had to have my mustang towed too.

wow, that was quick! We haven't moved in 14 years but prior to that I did 4 moves is 6 years. It always made the projects have to wait until i got settled. Glad you made but wow, what a big change! When we lived up North, we could see snow as soon as Halloween and have snow into May some years. I hated winter!

I can’t believe Brett passed up a chance to look at my drum brakes and tell us the solution.

Been in this home 27 years. It is ours and I will probably die here, or in the assisted living home. I have too much crap to move.

I wish I had some time to prepare the trip a bit better. I literally drove straight through, grabbed a few hours of sleep at some truck stops.

Car has been on the back burner for the last month or so in preparations for the move and getting things settled here. I starting hanging up insulation and plywood in the garage, previously it just had bare studs

At least now you have help close by, not like that third world country you left
