Fortunately my wife is used to living with a nerdy engineer. We occasionally do strange things. I got tired of my sunglasses, because I can't see anything on the dash and am constantly flipping them up to see. This is annoying as well as distracting and dangerous.
Well my latest pair of prescription bi-focals have magnets in the corners and the sunglasses just slip down and connect. The shades are polarized and fortunately made of plastic. The optometrist says its the polarization that makes the dash disappear. I decided to buy a backup pair of shades for $29 and did an experiment. It works perfectly and since I only use them in the car I don't offend my wife's fashion sense.

Next you will get what I call Yoko Ono sunglasses....the type that are OVERsized so they fit OVER any glasses you wear. Sort of like welding goggles.

Last pair of glasses I got I had them make me a pair of sunglasses too, right around a hundred bucks. I constantly walk into places with them on and then have to run back to the car for my regular glasses. I had a pair of those magnetized ones too. I am old also.
