Boom's 68 fastback

It moved around as I was installing the gauge. It has an air core so each time its powered up it'll do a full sweep and re-zero itself. My coupe did the same thing occasionally when I shut it off.

I drilled the holes for to mount it. Wish they would have already been drilled, but they had indentations where they need to go.

Had to adjust the MTF dash pad so I didn't get around to fitting this cluster in yet.

I've been really lazy lately. Not much has been done to the fastback. I did have to pull the Iroc in the garage to redo the trans pan gasket and hopefully fix a starter issue. Potentially going to do a Sniper EFI install on it as well, got a super sweet deal on a full kit thats now just sitting on a table.

I did finally get another truck! I wanted something capable, but also economical and easy to park.

Thanks for this build thread, it has given me quite a few great ideas. Will there be any further updates?

Thanks for reading through it. There will be plenty of updates. Just been busy with other projects and work lately.

Just saw the truck pic....LMFAO.

And WTF???? LMan's here? When did that happen?? Talk about a ghost from Christmas past.

Not really any updates on the fastback. I've been tied up with other projects, mainly my 86 Iroc. Just got my it out of the garage today after it spent all winter next to the fastback. Sniper EFI conversion, full-length headers, new C7 corvette wheels and tires, and I cleaned up a bunch of wiring under the hood. Just need to get the exhuast connected and then I can drive that and go back to working on the fastback.

I'm in the process of tearing down my FB for a complete rebuild...so all ideas are welcome :)

Thus I watch this thread. Great ideas here.

Sounds neat, post some pics. What was your impression of the Sniper?

I got a chance to finally drive it a bit tonight. Unfortunately my fans weren't coming on so it started to overheat at the fuel station. I'll sort it out this weekend and have a better idea of how it goes. It's still earning right now.
