22-gal Fuel Safe cell in a 67

67 Gvert

New Member
Good Afternoon. I am installing a 22-gal Fuel Safe cell in my 67 vert. I believe that I'll need a 1970 fill neck so that I can add a bung and vent it into the neck as well as attach it to the cell. I will also add the splash back plate. Is this correct? Aside from paying $250 for the remote fill from Fuel safe. Any other ideas?

Thanks for th help. The fuel safe cell came with a 76-0 ohm sending unit for stock gauges. I'm trying to figure out where to vent the cell and how to prevent splash back so that filling it is easier. Fuel Safe can provide a remote fill with venting back into the neck and I saw someone made a splash back plate welded into the upper portion of the neck. I guess I really need to find a 1970 Mustang fill neck, and give it a try.

I vented my 16gal cell right out the side of the trunk pan. It's worked so far.....12 years now.
