3.73 Gears fit in 8inch rear

Measure the diameter of the ring gear and look for any part numbers...'bout the only way to know for sure. I've never seen a 3.73 gearset for an 8" though.
 
i've got 3.73 gears in my 8" with an auburn pos unit. cant give much info other than that as it was installed by p.o. when the car was pulled out of storage after 12 yrs.
 
I believe if you pay enough you can get any ratio for an 8in, but as stated, the 9in ring gear won't fit an 8in housing.
