4 speed hookup

    I have a 69 coupe with a 390. I am converting it over from a c6 to a toploader 4 speed. The 4 speed is in but I am having issues figuring out how the equalizer bar bracket mounts to the motor. I have the frame bracket in place but I can't seem to figure out where the bracket for the motor is suppose to hook up at. I was assuming its suppose to bolt onto the motor on the opposite side of the Bell housing. But if I mount it there then it makes the z bar crooked. Does anyone have pictures of their z bar setup they can post? Not sure if it matters or not but this mustang originally came with a 302/auto. The 390 is out of a 70 torino and the trans is from a 66 fairlane.

    Here's a pic of the Big Block inner pivot from Scott Drake. Does yours look like this?

    Also, on a '67 Ranchero (Fairlane) the Z bar for a big block is a two piece spring loaded design

    If you could post a pic of your z bar installed someone here might be able to see what that apparent problem might be.
