8.5mm plug wires in 7-8mm vertical wire looms?

I'm curious if anyone has came across this. I bought some MSD Superconductor wires that are 8.5mm diameter. I really like the look of the "Made 4 You" vertical wire looms, but they claim they fit 7-8mm wires. Taylor brand makes them in that same diameter (likely same supplier as they look alike) and the next size up is for their 10.4mm 409 wires, which is too big. Has anyone tried fitting a slightly larger wire in these looms? Based on my unit conversion, 0.5mm is only 0.02" (hair over 1/64"). Thats not much at all. I'm thinking it'll fit but thought I would ask those that may have been there.

I have a set of 9mm FMS wires that I squeezed into some billet 7-8mm looms and they really didn't fit. They really compressed the wires and pinched the covering. I haven't measured the loom hole to see if it is 7mm or 8mm.
