anyone running a 5" backspace on the front?

trying to decide if i want to order my front wheels in a 4.5" or 5" backspace. i'm going to run an 18x8 on the front & knew on some of the smaller diameter wheels, the balljoints/control arms would interfere with the deep backspaces. with my handy dandy homemade wheel measuring tool, everything looks good, BUT, i dont have the engine back in yet or the springs to see where the arms locate at ride height. my temp wheels are 17's with a 4" backspace & with those bolted up, there also looks like the 1" deeper wheel will clear.

5 inch bs on an 8 is gonna look strange. We run a 4.75 with stock style front end and a 4.5 on mustang 2
