Carb question

Iam getting the same amount of vacuum from both small ports on the front of my edbrock carb 1406.

Iam under the impression that the port you hook up to the dizzy, (one the DS) should have little or no vacuum at idle. Is that true?

That's the "factory" recommendation. There's always disagreement about which port to hook it up to; try that one and if you don't like it, try the other. You may have to re-set your base timing for the other port.

If the throttle plates are not closing (mixture not set correctly) properly at idle, you could be drawing vac. all the time. One should be ported, one un-ported.

OK - I know the mixture is not set correctly, so I'll get into that as well. But I think I have another issue with how I stabbed the Dizzy.
