Sorry for the semi-highjack of your thread. Giving it a little more thought, I realized that the "high water mark" of the fuel in the passageway from the jet (in the bottom of the float bowl) to the booster (in the throttle bore) would be at the same height as the fuel in the float bowl. If that height is the same height as the booster itself, then the fuel would flow through the booster, independent of the venturi effect.
