Today marks the first day of my new life rising up through the ashes as the Mythical Phoenix.

Today we settled on separation.

Paperwork will be submitted to the Court tomorrow and I can now start packing.

She's stealing my 401k, the house and a big chunk of Change.

My attorney was awesome and I am now about to be set free.

Congrats and condolences. I just had my divorce finalized 2 weeks ago. What a weight off the shoulders.
 
I am just happy it is over.

California has idiotic rules on separation. If I make ten times more than she does with an 8 to 5 job, she still gets half
 
That just goes with everything else in CA though. I'm glad my divorce was amicable and we did it ourselves.

Congrats and good luck moving forward. They can be emotional roller coasters, for sure but once you are out of the forest, it can be a big relief.
