Gas line question

What the best gas line setup for me to run. I got the car from a previous owner with the original metal fuel line that goes from the front of the car to the sending unit. He had mounted the fuel pump on the driver side of the engine bay. So is it better for me to run a similar configuration as he had or should I mount the fuel pump near the gas tank, buy gas line and run it to the front of the car?

Electric fuel pumps are designed to "push" fuel, not "pull" it. You're better off mounting an electric fuel pump as close to the fuel cell as possible.

Also, if the original fuel line is in good shape, use it. If not, you can buy original style fuel lines from most vendors. Don't run a rubber fuel line the length of the car.
