Gasoline Lines

2 days ago I filled all my car and gas tank sat $2.19. Today half of the stations are closed an all the open ones have long lines to get gas.at $2.49 and up They blame it on Harvey but I see they want to get back the $$ they been losing with gas at $2.00.

For the last 9 years i have been running my 4.0 V6 Hilux on LPG

that costs me 69c AUD per litre ($2.93 AUD per imperial Gallon, $2.09USD per US Gallon). Yesterday i said goodbye to it and Hello to my new Fortuner,

which i now have to get used to Diesel at $1.39 AUD per litre ($5.90AUD per imperial Gallon, $4.22 USD per US Gallon).
But at least i can now expect economy around 8l/100kms (35mpg imperial, 29.4mpg US) instead of 34l/100kms (8.3mpg imperial, 6.92mpg US)

We don't have anything that gets better than 19 - 20 highway.

The new toy coming is premium only and doesn't get any better.

Never been one to care much about mpg. I had a 76 F250 that got 4 and it was my daily driver.

In the late 70s I made $1 a car to wait in line with the neighbor's cars. I could get ten cars after school and twenty on Saturday. Good gig to just sit in a car and listen to KMET.

Enjoy the diesel - they last a long time.

My now ex-wife is letting our 2003 F250 rot in the driveway- it breaks my heart.
I offered to pay for half of the repairs to get the fuel tank repaired n she has done zilch in months.

She has always said it is 'my truck' but it sits n rots. It breaks my heart. I paid for the entire purchase n she is more interested in buying another pair of shoes.

It makes me puke

perhaps you can bribe her to give you the truck back? maybe load her up on designer shoes

last time i filled up i paid 2.15 per gallon. this was about a week ago. it should last me a few weeks. by then pries will have topped out due to harvey.
