Has anyone used a 67 speedo cable firewall grommet on a 65?

I dont have the original foam on my cable anymore and I really dont want to cobble anything together that will look like "Goo covered foam" and was curious if anyone has tried to use the 67 grommet on the 65, even tho the 65 hole is oval?

I'm sure you can either find a oval shaped grommet or cut and make your own.
