the fruits of 6 years of labor on the mustang. I have been driving the 66 around several times a day, each time going farther and farther away from the house. I'm starting to trust the car alittle bit. Sunday I am going to my first Cruise-in at the local Quaker steak. All I can say is, Now this is real fun. :pep

What you have been doing (small around town runs) is so crutial for anyone who wants to develop a trust in their vintage cars. The more local wear and tears you can do with a few jaunts down the highway, the sooner you'll be able to to a major road trip. Good job and enjoy your first car show.

I took the wife out for a cruise (about 20 miles). We both enjoyed it this time. The last time she went with me I was on edge and paranoid about the car. Time to buy more gas before I run out AGAIN.

I have to take some more pics since I got interior and engine bay done. Then if I can figure out how to put them in the gallery I will have them on here soon. Got to remember, I'm an old fart. :toot

Congrats, nothing like those first drives to make you question if you tightened up ALL the bolts :naug

Thanks for the comments. It makes it seem worth the time of restoring a car when you here others comments about it. I promise to take some up to date pics that I can put in the gallery along with what I started with. It's truly come a long way in 6 years. Oh, me and the wife had a great time at the cruise-in tonight.

I am going to try and post a link to my photobucket album so you can check out what I have so far.

its easy, just take the website address of each picture and put it inside the [ img ] http://whatever [ img ] If you look at your photobucket page, put your mouse over a picture, it says image code at the bottom. Just copy them, and then paste it in the reply box here. If you try, you can do it! I mean just look at that awesome resto you did! :wor
