Jason's 73 coupe

Posted about putting the engine and trans back in and it finally inspired me to start a build thread on my 73 coupe. I started one on my 69 coupe on 69Stang that I will post over here as well.
Grandpa bought this car for Grandma to drive with the intention of it being given to my Mother in her sophomore year of college.
Here's what I got for now to get the ball rolling

Mom got the car in college and drove it throughout Illinois and Iowa during college. Got married to my dad and they relocated to Arizona. Car got dealer added AC shortly after the move. I recall in the 80's the car sat parked as Mom had a company car and Dad drove the family car. In fact most it's life during my existence it was the back up car and sat parked in the garage or my grandparent's garage at their townhouse. When my brother start driving the mothballs got dusted off and he was given the car to drive. After he graduated high school the car was given to me to drive since he bought a new Camaro. I was so excited to drive the car the first day I spent hours driving up and down the street getting used to driving a stick. Taught myself the basics in a few hours and was driving it regularly the next day. Car got dual exhaust and the shortblock rebuilt during that time. Also had a repaint and then another repaint after I got rearended in the school parking lot my senior year. Shortly after graduating the trans went south and I busted my butt to get my 69 on the road and the 73 got backburner treatment. I'll fill in more of the story later now how about some Car porn!!

Found a buildsheet when I sripped the interior in 01

Ugly and hard to read, as luck would have it a year or two later Mom mentioned she found some old paperwork for the 73. This has to be the cleanest build sheet I've ever seen. Was in an envelope from the dealer with the sales ticket.

Also noticed that the salesman on the ticket was my Great Uncle

Pretty clean underneath for a car from the midwest, moving to Az really helped save it. The undercoating didn't hurt either,

Car has a white vinyl top that was replaced once in the 80's. I found the 80's fiberglass repairs in a few spots that didn't help much, but more on those areas later. What I found rather strange was this factory body filler. Was covered in the factory Bright red paint. I sanded it down to see what was underneath it. Guess this explains why this car got put in line for a vinyl top identical filler on both sides
