My 67 fastback build

Shaved the drip rails today. Still need to dress the welds but I'm like g the look.

I will congratulate you on the effort but not a fan of losing the drip rails at all. To me they are a very important part of the car design aesthetic. I am all about giving these old cars the performance and safety of modern cars but I like to maintain the period look.

My decision was made for me. I found tons of rot in the rails while cleaning the seam sealer out. It was pretty bad on the drivers side on the a pillar. I like the look, so it was an easy decision to shave instead of replace or repair.

Got the lower cowl burnt in. Got the upper cowl tacked on all four corners. Just needs to be finish welded. Took my time and probably had the hood and fenders on and off a couple dozen times. Very happy with the fit of it along with the fenders and hood. Sucked I screwed it up the first time but it's done.

It won't stay. Craig brought me this hood and it had the scoop. I'm about to start fabrication on a 68 Shelby style hood...

Now that you are happy with the fender alignment, be sure to install your windshield trim to insure you've got proper clearance between the trim and the top rear edge of the fender... I've got reproduction fenders and the drivers side it a bit tight to the trim. there should be some clearance... now is a good time to check it.

Good advice here.

Glad you are happy with the result.;)
One more story to tell when you are at a meeting !!:p:p

Built a wooden jig to get the car on its side...

No the work of stripping and cleaning and dressing welds and more welding and priming and painting and bedling and.... begins lol

Living the dream or running it down... Haven't figured out which yet.

Got the underside epoxied and sprayed Raptor Liner. I'm extremely happy with the results.

Got the engine bay, inside and out epoxied. Sprayed the outside aprons where the suspension bolts bedlined. Got it off the tip over jig and got all the suspension back under it to make it a roller again.
