that is going to be too nice to drive every day! Looking good man!!!

The other day Julie drove through a water puddle and I about had a fit, but she was like, it is just water. I glad it is her driving it and not me. I would be like, I can not drive it to day because today is the day everyone water's so there is run off.

Re: My Wife's Diamond Blue Coupe (Almost Done)

I know what you mean. With as much as you have detailed it, it would be hard to to let it get dirty! I am glad she likes to drive it though, that is pretty cool!

Re: My Wife's Diamond Blue Coupe (Almost Done)

After you get the first mud pie, chip, scratch, bug juice...it'll be OK. Think of them as battle scars and remember how much fun it is to drive.

Awesome job John!

Re: My Wife's Diamond Blue Coupe (Almost Done)

I was cleaning out some old boxes yesterday in the garage and found the buck tag from Julie's Coupe under the flap of a box.

that's cool, not all Stangs had those. Mine is mounted on the core support by the radiator.

Re: My Wife's Diamond Blue Coupe (Almost Done)

Julie thinks it is too loud while driving. So it is time to add some sound deadener. I just have the stock stuff in it. I stripped the interior last Saturday.

Today I started reinstalling the interior. Hopefully I can finish tomorrow.

Re: My Wife's Diamond Blue Coupe (Almost Done)

Looks Great John! Hope you get the overheating issue fixed soon.

Re: My Wife's Diamond Blue Coupe (Almost Done)

Well, it was a great trip to the farm. Over 300 mile in 2 days of driving. A good shack down for the power tour. Have a small list of things to fix

The cigarette lighter plug did not work for my cell phone adapter.

Need to changed the speedo gear a little.

Need to make the exhaust a little more quiet for Julie.

The driver side rear shock squeaks. It is rubbing the side of the hole where if mounts to the rear axle hump. It looks like the mount plate at the rear leafs might be bent, making the shock angle to the side. I guess I will be making a trip to Dallas Mustang next week (if they have it in stock).

Looks like you are missing a rubber bushing on the lower side. Should have one like the side by the shock has.....

Re: My Wife's Diamond Blue Coupe (Almost Done)

It is now, it was not at the start of the trip. I removing the rear axle on my other 68. I going to compare the shape when I have both off.

Re: My Wife's Diamond Blue Coupe (Almost Done)

cool, getting the bugs out! By the way, I got the battery tray, I'm in Denver but my wife said it came. Thanks

Updating the Cluster gauges. I had a set refurbished by the TachMan. The blue Wiper switch was bought on eBay, I comes with delay wiper built into it. The Tachometer is a 3 wire version like I installed into my other 68 Coupe.

John, I don't remember you being any taller than me, and even I didn't put the seat all the way back. Are you using a stock steering wheel?

I am 6'2". Not a stock Steering Wheel. I had to sit bowlegged to get around the steering wheel if the tilt was in the normal position. I knees are also bad and I can drive longer if my legs are extended.
